Mount and Balance

If you are buying a Wicked EDF motor and a Wicked EDF fan unit (or EDO fan unit) and would like it mounted into the fan unit and dynamically balanced then select this option. Dynamically balancing makes your fans run smoother and quieter and can prevent rotor failure and bearing failure as there are not extra forces due to vibration. Balanced and mounted fan units should not be disassembled as once reassembled it may no longer still be in balance. Motor leads will be bare and can be directly soldered to your ESC wires (recommended choice). However, if you want 3.5mm bullet connectors soldered to the motor leads then select that option from the pull down menu below. Please note the mounting and balancing process takes extra time and and is quite popular and some tinkering is always needed so please allow up to an extra 5 business days processing time.

Note: Dynamic balancing on the Wicked EDF 60 mm fan unit is only available with the 5 blade rotor. Balancing with the 3 blade rotor is no longer available.

IMPORTANT: Do not disassemble a dynamically balanced motor fan unit. They are balanced together as a system. Taking one apart and reassembling or replacing components will most likely result in an out of balance motor fan unit.
